The Egg

My artistic journey started in 2019 after I learned about the magic power of Papier Mache. It was my senior year in college when I first picked up papier mache, my teachers told me to pick a Senior thesis Topic, and naturally, I decided to create an art installation of giant colorful Papier mache dragons. I worked night and day bringing these figments of my imagination to life with the hope to make people smile. I originally started working in Papier mache because of its lightweight, inexpensive, accessible, and durable qualities. This newfound outlet of expression helped me to regain a sense of control and share my creativity with my friends and family. I use the outlet of fantasy to create optimistic and fascinating environments that I believe the world is in short supply of. Throughout my time working with papier mache, I have experimented and added an array of different materials into my mache to strengthen my projects, and weatherproof them. My goal with my art is to transport the viewer into my fantasy, relax them, ignite their imaginations, and make them smile.
